Each delivery of baked goods includes personalized notes to the hospital staff expressing gratitude for their life-saving work and tremendous bravery.

 

We received the following note from a nurse at a local hospital:

 

"Thank you to all the families who contributed to getting the delicious cupcakes. Mondays are especially rough and today was no exception. The cupcakes brought a sweet treat to our team and helped to boost unit morale. We so appreciate you thinking of our Emergency Department from so far away."

Effie and Nick from Martha’s Country Bakery wrote:

 

“We would really like to thank you for your support and all the help you gave us and the staff at the hospital. We reached our goal of donating 20,000 [baked goods] to the hospital and are going to look into helping them and others in other ways. Everyone is so appreciative when we drop [cupcakes] off. You are doing a really great thing.”

 

Sweet Relief hopes to continue to strengthen community ties in the future through projects with small businesses in New York and around the country.
